Randstad is the recruitment partner of the Oceano Azul Foundation and is currently looking for an International Media & Stakeholder Communication Manager.
...Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with international journalists, global media outlets, and key stakeholders to secure media coverage for the organization's initiatives and achievements;
Work closely with the PR agencies to develop a full year plan and narrative in order to amplify and maximise the Foundation activities coverage;
Proactively identify media opportunities and pitch compelling stories that align with the Foundation’s conservation goals and strategic priorities;
Develop, write, and edit high-quality press releases, media advisories, op-eds, feature articles, and other communication materials tailored to different media audiences;
Arrange and manage interviews, media briefings, and press conferences, ensuring clear and consistent messaging across all platforms;
Monitor global media trends to identify emerging opportunities and potential risks, providing strategic recommendations to enhance the Foundation’s media presence;
Build and manage a comprehensive media contact database, ensuring effective tracking and follow-up with journalists and stakeholders;
Support the development and implementation of integrated communication campaigns, working closely with internal teams to align media activities with broader organizational strategies;
Provide media training and key message development support to spokespeople and senior leaders, ensuring effective representation of the Foundation’s mission;
Evaluate the impact of media activities through regular reporting on media coverage, audience reach, and engagement metrics.
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field; master's degree preferred;
Extensive international experience in media relations;
Proven track record of securing media coverage for organizations or campaigns on a global scale;
Strong network of contacts in international media outlets, including print, broadcast, and online platforms;
Excellent writing skills with the ability to craft compelling press releases, media advisories, and other materials tailored to different media outlets and audiences;
Experience organizing and managing media events, press conferences, and briefings, ensuring effective communication of key messages;
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with journalists and media partners;
Understanding of brand management principles and the importance of aligning media messaging with organizational goals and strategies;
Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus, particularly European languages given the focus on international media outreach.

Achieving quality and relevant media coverage with significant audience reach and impact;
Successful pitching and placement of stories aligned with brand guidelines and communication strategies;

Media events, press conferences, and briefings that effectively engage journalists and convey key messages.
